European Business University (EBU) of Luxembourg is a non-profit organisation dedicated to making education affordable, accessible and equitable. Coming together with Girl Effect, EBU has offered 25 scholarships to young people working with Girl Effect to join EBU’s online Certification in ‘Foundations in Business Administration’ course. From Africa to Asia, Girl Effect's works with and employs many young people aged 16 - 24, including Technology Enabled Girl Ambassadors (TEGAs), Brand Ambassadors, girl-journalists and cast members.
This exciting three year partnership will allow a total of 75 English-speaking young people and staff members from across our African and Asian programmes and offices to develop their Business Administration skills. This course will enable the successful applicants to strengthen their CVs for future job applications, to learn transferable skills from a prestigious global institution and, via virtual meetings with course-mates, they will be able to connect with people from around the world.
EBU is passionate about ensuring there is inclusive access to education worldwide, especially unrepresented and marginalised populations in Africa and Asia.
Academic Dean, Dr. James Mulli, said: "EBU adheres to the Triple Bottom Line in this order, People, Planet, before Profit and aspires to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Quality Education."
