Lucia joined Girl Effect in 2020. Lucia heads up Girl Effect's marketing and communications function and leads on commercial partnerships.
Before joining Girl Effect, Lucia spent nine years working for Vodafone Group Plc where she headed up Brand, Marketing and Communications for Vodafone Foundation, the company's philanthropic arm. Her role spanned the network of 27 Vodafone Foundation globally, with a focus on engaging employees, media, the development and tech sector in the life changing impact of Vodafone's technology. Lucia was responsible for embedding the Foundation as part of Vodafone’s DNA and as a core component of Vodafone's Purpose, working on global campaigns and events around gender based violence and domestic abuse, digital education, refugees and displaced communities, emergency and disaster response and fundraising. In her role, Lucia worked on Vodafone's global Gender Equality and Youth strategies. Prior to Vodafone Lucia worked in PR.
